Greater Roadrunner

There has been a roadrunner in the neighborhood the past few days. This Greater Roadrunner (Geococcyx californianus) is the New Mexico state bird and is about 20 to 24 inches long. It runs on the ground and its voice is six to eight low, dove-like coo's, descending in pitch. It's habitat is deserts; dry open country with scattered cover and brush.

Red & Brown Saddle Blanket

This saddle blanket was started on April 3, and completed on April 8, 2008. After a few more pieces are woven, I'll cut it and the others off the loom and tie them off. I enjoy weaving the border pattern done on this piece and will probably use it on some of the next few peices I weave.

Size 34 x 34; price $250
